The fun starts around post #106 (page 8?) and the illegal hit/non-interception TD against Olsen.

I feel their frustration. Looks exactly like our game day threads in years past (other than a Redskin Purr wanting the team plane to crash en route back to Washington.)

 

I'm still not sure how to feel about that call. If it had happened to us I'd be pissed. But the dude went straight to Olsens head and the ref threw the flag immediately. If it was homecoming it was about damn time.

Wouldn't have changed the outcome. Our O could have scored 60 yesterday if they needed too.

 

There is no defending the awful officiating we have seen this year and recent years.

That's what I was focusing on. I am thinking the ref did not know he was calling back a score when he threw the flag, and I would be curious to see if he was moving his hand to get the flag out before the int was secured. And yep I would have been pissed too.



They were bitching about holding on the safety at the end without realizing there was no point in throwing a flag there because it likely would have been declined anyway. Half the distance, re snap, same result, less time left.

 

For the record, holding in the end zone is also a safety.

 

It was the right call. You can bitch about the rule if you'd like, but you can't hit a receiver high. And we still would have scored 44 points anyway.

 

That is right, I overlooked that. Same result, might have gained them a few seconds had the call been made. I couldn't believe people were bitching about that, as if it mattered one iota.
