His deal in Tennessee was 4 years and 20 million. In light of that catastrophe, I can't see his salary going up. I figure his 2-year deal here is around 3.5 mil per year, plus some free passes to the Uptown Cabaret.

I could be way off but don't expect it's that high. There is no one really in front of him and his old coach is also here, providing probably the best opportunity for a rehab your career/value situation he could hope to find. He gets back on track, he will get paid.

The amount of money Gettleman has sunk into OL mediocrity the last couple of years would pay for a quality player.

Per Joe Person on Twitter Oher's deal was 2 yrs, $7 million, only $2.5M guaranteed.

When the Ravens made Michael Oher a first-round pick in 2009, they’d hoped he’d become the team’s next franchise left tackle. It didn’t happen.

So he became a free agent last year and returned to his home state of Tennessee, but the arrangement with the Titans lasted only one season.

He’ll give it another try in Carolina, where the blocker-needy Panthers gave him a contract that, per a league source, paid Oher $2.5 million to sign.

He’ll also receive a base salary of $850,000 this year, $250,000 in total per-game roster bonuses, and a workout bonus of $150,000.

For 2016, Oher gets a $500,000 roster bonus on the third day of the league year (an excellent device to force the Panthers to make an early decision), a base salary of $2.35 million, $150,000 in workout bonuses, and up to $250,000 in per-game roster bonuses.

It’s a maximum package of $7 million, with $500,000 tied to suiting up 32 times and $500,000 tied to the team’s willingness to make it a two-year deal.
