    Staying healthy is always the most important part of these games, but I'm definitely invested in how the starters look against their starters. Especially how our defense looks. The Patriots are a decent analog for a number of offenses that we'll be facing this season.

    I'd imagine as competitive as Brady is he'd like, on a small level to stick it to us

    There was quite a bit of Super Bowl revenge talk among our players when we played them during the '04 preseason. It seemed authentic, and I remember being jacked up after we beat them. But now players can't give two shits about exhibition games anymore, regardless of the circumstances.

    Belichick had some good things to say about Lafell the other day. He almost never singles out players to praise them during pressers which makes it notable.

    I wonder if Gettleman and Belichick will cross paths tonight. I'll bet Gettleman is still feeling a bit raw about Gaffney.
