    Donald Penn signed a two year contract with the Raiders to be their left tackle.

    We all understand that the Panthers have limited cap room. We all understand that the players available in free agency are flawed. What we don't understand is why it appears that Dave Gettleman isn't even trying. If the cap is that much of an issue, cut Charles Godfrey and save either $2 million or $5 million if you make him a June 1st cut. Also, don't spend $2.25 million a year on a safety every Panthers fan hates and was one of the absolute worst in the league over the last two seasons in coverage.

    You cant understand it because you have no idea what the plan is. Stop thinking youre some kind of "expert" or that you would qualify to be a GM of a pop warner team. We have no money. He needs to get roleplayers to fill the roster.

    12 wins with some of the guys we had last year showed some abilty to find talent cheap that fit our needs. The draft picks seemed to play well. Thats tangible, fantasy football/message board GM is not.

    Yeah, its tough having all these unknowns. But how stupid are you going to look if, after FA and the draft, things start happening that start to fill in the puzzle? An intelligent person weighs all the facts before presuming to know the outcome.
