It is apparently true. I saw it this morning on Person's twitter. Evidently he was a TE before being switched to DT.

He got hurt. Its part of the reason he was released. His injury makes him a better candidate to be a pass rushing OLB now as opposed to playing DE. Harder for him to explode out from a 3-point stance.

To make fans more confident about Shula?

That worries me. I like the idea of using our RB's more, don't get me wrong, but this rhetoric with Shula being "run heavy" sounds a lot like what we kept hearing when Jeff Davidson got hired.

Probably more to do with all those articles about using our MM dollar backfield adequately/properly and Cam being the leading rusher 2 years in a row than actually giving away gameplans.

You'd expect a bowling ball of a RB/FB to enjoy running the ball more. I think the OLine would honestly prefere it too.

And why keep telling the press who is going to play which position? WE'RE JUST GIVING SECRETS AWAY HERE PEOPLE. IMAGINE IF THE BUCS THINK STAR WOULD PLAY SAFETY MAJOR HEADACHE IN GAMEPLANNING THERE.

Not saying we're gonna be that team, but if you're good enough they can know what you're gonna run and it won't make any difference.

I want an OC with a vision for the offense and a plan for how to carry out that vision. Maybe Shula has that, but "run heavy" and "physical" aren't really plans. The measure of a good OC is knowing how to get out of a 2nd and 12.
