If you haven't watched the ESPN episode on From Elway to Marino you need to.

 

I'd rather not.

 

You're missing out. All the potential moves that almost happened heading up to and during the draft involving marino and elway including Howie Long almost a Bear

 

All those specials only show when people wanted to trade up/for good players, no one ever mentions things like wanting to draft Jamarcus Russell or thinking Drew Brees would suck. Much like the worst 100 players B&B suggested I'd love a special of old GMs/Coaches reliving their worst ideas and the worst ideas of others. Mike Martz could probably have a special just on the QBs he thought would be great.

 

It was like 30 years ago. I just don't give a crap.

 

I think this show had some of that, with the Pats drafting Tony Eason and Ron Meyer's comments on it. They kept the HC out of the process, wouldn't let him in the draft room.

 

Plus I don't want to hear Elway being celebrated for being a dickhead. I hate him the same way I hate Eli Manning, Steve Francis, and Kobe Bryant.

 

Enjoyed watching it. The one about throwing a perfect baseball game was interesting too. Unsuprisingly it is called "Perfect".

 

The Jim Kelly stuff was interesting. Didnt want to play in Buffalo, too cold, chose USFL instead. Only joined the Bills after league tanked, I assume they still held his rights.

Bills draft Manuel, a kid from sunny florida. Will be interesting to see how that turns out.

 

Great show, makes me wonder how many Super Bowls the Steelers might have if they would have picked Marino.
