Hey, enjoy the draft! Don't be hurt if others don't grade it an A+.

No big deal the OL and secondary was completely ignored. It's a myth that keeping the QB upright matters.

If I grade it an A+ would it make some of you sleep better at night?

Fucking get over it, pussies. It's a message board.

But we drafted a 6'4" OG that weighs 320lbs with our 3rd pick. They addressed it at the spot they felt matched the value.

We werent gonna take an OL in round 1, even Fluker went before our pick. Larry Warford was the only realistic option in round 2 and he didnt go till round 3. We would be making a mistake to take need over BPA at that point. We took a guy at the top of our board over the next best OL that didnt go till 1 round later. We may not like the pick ourselves but look at some of the guys our scouts rated him better than. They didnt draft him to be a career backup. They want to develop him into our starter just like Amini who also came from D2.

Yes we could have taken an OT in rounds 5 or 6. Hopefully we address that before the season begins. I imagine we didnt because the guys we did select were graded much higher and they didnt want to dilute the squad by reaching for need.

Grade it how you like, but I like it because we picked 3 guys out of 5 that I loved prior to the draft. I also appear to be one of the few that was still concerned about our LB debth, I wanted to draft another OLB and I wanted to do it higher than the 5th round. We got a pretty versatile guy rated as a 3rd/4th rounder in the 5th. It filled one of my perceived needs for the team.

I called him Keek Lite because he's a smart instinctive player whose speed was questioned prior to the combine. He's a team leader who leads by example with great character and hard work. He isnt quite the tackler Keek is but he still had over 340 total tackles as a 3 year starter. He also excels in zone coverage which was one of Keeks strengths in college too. No, he's not a highly touted 1st rounder and wont win DROY buy he displays similar traits that will make him successfull in this league.

    He's nowhere in Keek's stratosphere.

It's more appropriate to call him Jason Phillips 2 than Keek Lite.

The difference is that Silatolu was expected to be a second round pick. Everyone had this guy rated as a 6th, 7th, or undrafted free agent. Again, maybe he'll end up being a steal, but the Panthers really need someone who can play now as opposed to three years from now.

Blackburn already backs up all three, while Senn and Williams are depth. OL and safety were much bigger needs and there were good players on the board at those positions.

I'm certainly not faulting you for liking the draft. I like elements of it, certainly, and disagreement rocks.

I just get irritated when I'm told I'm being suicidal because I graded it a C.

I'm suicidal because I fucking hate everyone on the planet, not because of the Panthers draft.

I have low expectations for this team. Anything C and over is a fuckin' joy, man.

Pretty much sums up how I feel, and why I'm frustrated.

I know I don't know what the Panthers know, but I feel a little defeated by the second day.
