I'm not the biggest fan of Short. The quickness is nice, but laziness and freelancing are two huge no-nos at DT. If you can coach that out of them then he's a nice pick.

Dude def has his issues and I think most of us would have gone in another direction. You can see what Gettleman and Co are thinking. Star the large "space eating" DT and Short the penetrating kind. I think it's totally reasonable to invest the first two picks in a DT but he has plenty of faults and could be a bust but right now there is no way to know.

Why wouldn't they get another space eater like Jenkins or...? Hankins? And then just let hardy and co. Go to town on qbs?

I would have preferred Star as the under. Oh well.

I don't see that as a significant problem at all. It's like complaining because your supermodel wife doesn't let you give her ass to mouth.

From the presser it sounds like they think both Stah and KK are interchangeable and can play both the 1 and the 3.

Nope. Short not only lacks the lower body strength to anchor on the nose but is not disciplined in gap control. He's not a bad player and he could end up being a very good one, it's just not what I would have preferred.

They can, but preferebly you'd have Short the under.

Basically, Star is the strong guy, Short is the quick guy.

Short already showing signs of getting in better shape which is huge.

BTW, I remember Short schooling Warford bad during the senior bowl on one play.

MVP of the North I believe.
