I read a great breakdown of Richardson's game at CSR which makes me scared shitless to take this guy. Probably similar to concerns which Collin has voiced, but still, too much bust potential there.

EDIT: Here it is. Read it and tell me that you still want Richardson at 14.

Why does this guy think Richardson can't be coached, and Williams and Floyd can? It's a thoughtful piece and all, but some of it comes off as retarded.

I mean, he's not in Floyd's class. But I've watched a ton of both of them, and he's damn damn good though, and I think he can be disruptive as a ************ in the pros. I may be chastised for this, and so be it, but I think he has the potential to be a pro bowler. He's a natural, IMO.

I'd still be just fine with Williams or Hankins though, even being that the "value" may not satisfy some. In the end, you have your spot, and you pick the player you think is best for your team. If it's any of the NTs, I'm skippy with that.

Struggling with pad level is pretty common for long-legged DTs. I also saw Richardson getting driven back downfield a lot. When he is disruptive it's due to quickness and motor, but when an offensive lineman gets his hands on Richardson, he's done for that play. Really good job by whoever did that piece, although they're trying a bit too hard with the vocabulary. "A denouement to his ignominy"? Kudos for the effort, and it did bring a smile to my face, but that's a bit much.

Here's another good one by the same author: Surveying the prospects: Sylvester Williams - Cat Scratch Reader Whoever Crawford Rundlett is, I give him props, although it continues to kill me that this kind of analysis is exactly what I was doing for my Panthers Pro Football site ~6 years ago. *sigh* I wish like hell that had worked out.

Yeah, I'd take Sylvester Williams over Richardson. Perhaps the ceiling isn't as high, but neither is the bust potential.

There will be some good players at 23. If we get the third rounder, that could be a nice trade.

It's crazy a different cat scratch article they think going WR at 14 is most likely. And that its possibly Keenan Allen or Deandre Hopkins
