Hardy scares the shit out of me. Lets not forget this is the brainchild that last offseason not only was doing 120 mph in a Bentley, not only was he using his phone while doing 120 mph in a Bentley, but posted a picture on twitter of his speedometer while doing this retarded shit.

Yes, he was productive last season. I would let him play out his contract, then franchise him the following year, if he is able to maintain his production at the same level next season. Then make a decision after that. We should be out of cap hell by then, and have a much better idea of what kind of player he is.

I have no problem with a reasonably fat deal, I think he's earned it. Don't know how that's gonna work though.

Think we can get CJ to re-do to keep his boy Hardy happy? Didn't think so.

Mid to late first is definitely possible, but yeah, he would fetch a high second.

Your approach is reasonable, but Carolina won't be out of cap hell by 2015. Gettleman has done nothing to address it now so unless they scorch the earth in 2014, 2015 will still be a brutal cap situation. That gets even uglier when you consider what Cam will want to be paid. 2016 is the earliest you can realistically expect even a little cap room.

Since it seems like a d-line thick draft, go to him with a reasonable contract and see if he takes it, all the while float his name out there seeing what folks are offering.

Yeah, its a great market for DEs right now...just go ask Freeney and Abraham how much theyre getting...no wait....

Besides no real choice for us (or money)....build through the draft.

Drew has this team by the balls.

But why would you go looking for a new contract now in such a shitty climate for DE's. Let him rack up another 10+ sacks and rape us later.

Someone had to be the first to test if the Panthers were still paying a hometown premium to keep their players.
