They don't "need" Revis, but their corners can get exposed when Aldon Smith goes into one of his mini-slumps.

By the way, who would rather have Von Miller and Russell Wilson/Kaepernick instead of Cammy Cam right now. God damn it, shit.

Yeah Von Miller, Russell Wilson and Kap are nice and all they really are but are they winners? did they win division 2 and division 1 college football championships?

I bet Cam wasn't a fucking dickhead in that junior college locker room. Not at all.

Andy Reid has always liked to throw the ball downfield a ton as well, so I'm wondering how Alex Smith is going to fit in there. The only time he's had a qb that couldn't bomb it was with Jeff Garcia in 2006, and he did adjust his offense for that stretch, so I assume he will do that again, but don't feel like Smith fits his ideal mold for a qb.

It seems to me the fleecer in qb trades was the one fleeced if its the 33rd pick and a conditional 2nd/3rd as reported for a guy that was a FA that nobody but his old team wanted last year.

He does, but he did a lot more of that in recent years to suit the talents of Michael Vick. McNabb wasn't the greatest downfield passer, although he did have much better arm strength than Alex Smith. I think KC's offense will look a lot like what Reid was doing with Kolb.

I would entirely disagree with Mcnabb not being at least a very good downfield passer. His touch was much better deep than short, his accuracy problems were often because he had way to much mustard on his short to midrange throws. Vick's downfield throws are more effortless and look prettier, but Mcnabb was better on the whole with hitting guys downfield. Todd Pinkston's one skillset, speed, only shined in Philly for a reason, and that was Mcnabb's ability to hit him long.

The numbers go completely against this. On passes thrown 11-20 yards, McNabb averaged about 50% completions, then dropped into the 30s on 21-30. I don't disagree about him having spotty touch on short throws, especially when rolling out, as he would often fire those right at the receiver's feet. Still, his completion percentage was dramatically higher (mid-60s) for 1-10 yards.

I wonder if the Chiefs even talked to Philly about Kolb? a second and a conditional 2nd in the following year is steep but if they get a qb to do anything positive (something Cassel never gave them for a hell of a lot more) and at a better salary (what 8 million??) who knows

They just talked to Philly about Bobby Hoying. It will be interesting to see how that develops.
