    Yes.

And listen, I'm not one of those people bashing Lewis over this. Frankly, I don't give a fuck about who died. They were 'bangers anyway, weren't they? Or something.

But this is a valid point. Ray Lewis was being celebrated, this was his second Superbowl, retiring, and meanwhile a mother can't summon the courage to go to her son's plot isn't getting any solace, and now she has to watch this guy again all over the news. Her brain is so traumatized, that she convinces herself that her dead son might still come home.

The media have a right to, and perhaps even an obligation to talk about the victim, and to remind people that there are victims in this who never got any closure.

It's fair game. No one can tell someone they can't have an opinion or bring up a fucking unsolved murder just because the guy is a famous football player, and a nice guy now.

I love Ray Lewis and the shit he does on the field, and I'm glad he got to sail away on his fanciful and magical boat into the sunset. But fuck that dude, man, he's not immune to scrutiny.

Ray Lewis accepted a plea deal for obstruction of justice from the prosecution . The prosecution waived any further charges against Lewis . The prosecution presented little evidence that Ray Lewis assualted anyone . To all the folks who are sure he did , present your evidence to the Fulton County DA . Put up or shut the hell up .

That's the great thing about message boards. Normally no one knows half as much as they claim to, and no one has to shut the hell up about anything. (shrug)

He wasn't the murderer, he helped the murderers get away.

You do realize Ray and his group were attacked by the murder victims first? A brawl began when Reginald Oakley, an old friend of Ray Lewis, was hit on the head with a champagne bottle by Jacinth Baker, a 21-year-old man from Decatur, Georgia. In the fight Baker and Richard Lollar, aged 24, also from Decatur, were stabbed to death. They started the fight and paid the price .

The prosecution, led by Fulton County district attorney Paul Howard, began the presentation of its case on May 27. Howard acknowledged that no witness would testify to having seen Ray Lewis with a knife. In the second week of the trial the prosecution case was weakened when four of its witnesses failed to identify Lewis as an aggressor in the fight, and it disintegrated when Duane Fassett took the stand. In a statement to police Fassett had said that he saw Lewis punch one of the victims, and that in the limousine as it left he had heard Oakley say, "I stabbed mine" and heard Sweeting reply, "I stabbed mine too." But on the witness stand Fassett said that he had never seen Lewis throw a punch, and that he appeared to be trying to break up the fight. Not guilty according to your Justice System . Get over it .

Which is why he was charged with lying to police . Next? We know lying is so unheard today .

He was guilty of not violating the "Bro' Code". The prosecution had absolutely no case in a murder charge. I watched pretty much the whole trial. I'm not saying he doesn't know who did it, but it was evident from the beginning he didn't do it. It's too bad though that two guys are dead and nobody has been brought to justice.

I don't really give a shit about the Atlanta thing. I just think it's amazing how he's transformed his image so dramatically since then. He's like a reverse Walter White.
