Actually, healthwise, JR looks as good as I've seen him in years. No, he'd leave the team to Kasay.

No one since the teams been w/o a official gm for what 9-10 weeks, and had a consulting firm on the job for what 7-9 weeks you would think/hope they would be interviewing names. That and the crackerjack media who covers the panthers ought to be staked out at Applebee's waiting to see who Jerry is having dinner with.
If Richardson lifts the interim tag off of Beane I may go out to Bank of America stadium and pinch off a turd at the base of mike mccormicks statue

JR is fucking amazing, and we have a good owner. He's made mistakes, but the dude cares. And so what if he loves Jake. Jake Delhomme loved being a Panther more than anything, and that guy took us to the Superbowl.

I bet it's Dave Gettleman and he wanted to let his GM have input.

    these things.

FWIW, I think they'releaning Gettleman, too. I'm OK with that. Rivera probably stays, and that's more than fine, too. No one's been hired, GM or coach - and I really doubt Kelly or Reid are candidates here. To be honest, the idea of "wasting" a year on Rivera isn't that catastrophic to me if it happens. The changes that need to be made, will need to be made either way.

Shefter is report bill Obrien isn't going anywhere, that and if he were to leave there's a 20 million dollar buy out in his contract. I wonder if that buyout is for the life of his contract or does it go down every year

O'Brien is a fool for that big a buyout.

Doesn't matter, I don't believe him to be that serious a head coaching candidate. Then again, a lot of the names that are being pushed (mostly OCs and ST coaches for some reason) aren't guys I'd want anyway.

Read an article where they had Gettleman linked with 3 SB winners. 1 with Broncos and 2 with the Giants. Appears more proven than the hotter name in Ross.

Chip Kelly appears in high demand. It would be pretty foolish to fire Rivera hoping to land just him knowing 1 team is gonna hand him the keys and the cash.

I mean, Reid, Weis had worse records than Rivera last year. Im not down with that at all.

If be down with Cowher or Dungy but I dont think either is likely to return.

Brian Kelly is the only other guy that intrigues me. But he took 3 years to turn his programmes around too.

Im fine with Rivera coming back. Just run the damn ball and get some OL.
