Understand more about your own team and it's players, please.

    Morris - run attempts - 335.

    Williams - attempts - 173.

They both average this year over 4 yards a carry, (yes, Williams averaged more than 4 a carry with this joke of an OL and its musical chairs this year) Morris averaging a half a yard more. ONLY A HALF A YARD MORE.

And he got 162 more carries. That's almost the same amount of carries Williams had all season more.

I realize we're getting rid of this guy. I'm just saying...it's a shame. And it's a damn shame this keystone group of ******s never used him they way they could've, and that we never realized our potential because of so many similar stories.

Not so sure Williams is going anywhere. Id hate to lose a guy that just put up 210 yards rushing. He still clearly has it. Need to upgrade the Oline and get commited to the running game sooner in the season/training camp.

It just took us so long to get going. Remember the 80 yarder called back last week and some of the big screen pass plays he made of late. It wasnt just about NO sucking, just hit his stride too late in the season, the whole team did.

I hear what you`re saying and I agree with it. Its just that if he wasn`t getting the big long runs this game he wouldn`t have gotten his carries.
A dollar says that if he was only averaging 5 ypc this game then his carries would have been less. The reason being the Saints secondary was subpar.
He carried it 22 times against the Chargers and got 93 yards. Why the big difference with one less carry this game? Because of the screen door defense of the Saints, easy to open and slow to close.
I would rather keep DW over Stewart, because JStew seems to have this foot/ankle thing like clockwork.
I just wish they could talk him into a restructure.

Half a yard more in average is a ton, plus it's much harder to maintain a high average with a lot of carries than it is with fewer ones. Moreover, DW was below 4 until he ran all over the worst defense in the history of the NFL. I'm not disagreeing with your assessment that DeAngelo still has talent, but he's also clearly slowing down and not quite the back he was a couple of years ago.
