True, but Cam also had two or three passes that should have been intercepted and yet weren't.

Always felt there should be some kind of error category. Doesnt baseball do that?

But Smitty was like triple covered. Bad decision.

Bad series all around that one.

Im starting to come to the idea that Cam is a thrower, not a passer.

Judgement stats suck though, is it still a bad decision if 89 catches it (as he has several times over the years) ?

    It hit Smitty's hands.

If he caught that, we'd all be talking about Cam's unbelievable accuracy at times. There was a similar one that hit Olsen and was caught where the commentators talked about pinpoint precision throwing.

It's always good if it works and bad if it doesn't.

Cam is definitely a passer and not a thrower. Tebow is a thrower.

Newton's mechanics are a work in progress. But the kid is a passer, no doubt.

No fine that I've seen. That must mean the league also thought it was a pretty clean shot.

yeah, see, I hear that sometimes, and then I think, I read that sometimes - massive criticism of a play or two in the Chiefs game for instance, and then there aren't all that many people saying, "but hey, he's thrown for 3 INT and given the team 19 TD since the start of November and he's only in his 2nd year."

He's inconsistent. He's got some bad shit in him. But, for the most part, there are a lot worse things.

Cam played one season of major college ball in a very structured offense with little read responsibilities. It's not clear whether or not he's a naturally smart guy, but even if he was it wouldn't be surprising that he struggles to make good decisions against NFL defenses this early in his career. That will hopefully come in time, I'm mainly concerned with improving his footwork and overall accuracy.
