I dunno. Peterson's story is to me more remarkable. He's right at 1 year, and he's having what could be a historic season regardless of knee issues.

But, officially, he's also missed one game. It's remarkable in itself to miss only one game for knee surgery of that level, a lot moreso than Manning's issue in my opinion (which seems more to do with risk of future injury).

Davis doesn't get more than passing consideration, but simply pulling it off is fantastic. But, from a cold, emotionless standpoint, he's not having a season that you couldn't find guys to have. There's less replacement for carrying an entire team to the playoffs coming off injury.

Also, I found it fucking stupid that Pennington got it in 08.

Peterson probably deserves it. But both he and Manning are having great seasons. Its just that I never quite bought into the severity to the Manning injury. It all seemed very convenient for all involved, im sure he could have played some last year but that would have ruined the Colts chances of Luck knowing that was the year they had to let Manning go.

But honestly, I really dont care either way. Im absolutely shocked we have our Thomas back and im just greatfull for that. I reallly thought we'd never see him again as a solid starter. How many others thought TD would make it through a full season, let alone be one of our better players. Certaintly not me.

As horrible as the season has been, watching Thomas out there smacking people around (reguardless of his occasional personal foul in costly situations) brings a joy to my heart. And im glad were not all sitting here talking about his contract burden either.

So ESPN or the NFL or whoever can hand out whatever award they want to whomever but to me, my Comeback Trophy goes to #58.

Where's jimmy Clausen? He was actually active for a game this year after never dressing last year.:189:

I read on TBR that Peyton wouldn't be anywhere near the same QB, so maybe he should get the award.
