To whack kasay has arguably cost us 3-4 wins.

    and cap space.

and maybe a special teams coach.

1 punter and 3 kickers later (and a shit-ton of cap space ) and we get nortman and gano.

My dad still calls him riviera and i no longer correct him because he doesn't deserve the respect of proper pronunciation.

Why do you think that was Rivera's call?

It gives me more fuel to hate. Plus Hurney / or riviera said it was in an interview at one point.

You are on to something with the Riviera term. Please edit the thread title.

We`d still be complaining about Kasay if he was here and why they didn`t do something about him.
Sure he was accurate, but I think the main complaint was his kickoffs and a lot of people still remember his part in the supewrbowl.
I still remember the prettiest gf I ever had, I could motorboat them yabos all day long, but damn what a nagging bitch.

Cutting Kasay for the roster spot was the right move, picking the player to replace him was where they fucked up.

Maybe, but remember that the kickoff point was moved that off-season and kickoffs became a lot easier. Plus, why can't the punter handle that? I'd rather have a guy who is reliable on field goals.

Sigh. It's probably been beaten to death at this point, but New England had an offensive pass interference penalty that pushed them back to their 40 with less than a minute to go in that game. Kasey didn't blow that game. And, he was a main part of why the panthers were in the playoffs that year with game winning field goals.

I'd kill to have him back.

I'm starting to think this organization is heading the way of a lot of the shittier teams. New coach every other year, or every three. Trying out kickers every week. Wanting a new quarterback every time the current one throws a pick. This could be ugly going forward for years to come.
