Its hard not to get the feeling that management has already given up on the season. We usually see everyone hit IR about week 12. Starting early this season.

I understand your feeling, but these are season ending injuries no matter what week they happen. Lisfranc, Labrum tears, knee surgeries...you just can't avoid IR with those.

The defense is playing incredibly better without him.

Probably for the best. Not only will he have a chance to get fully healthy, but it lets Kuechly gain a stranglehold on the MLB job. So either Beason gets cut or he's the one who gets moved outside.

Sucks for the guy. Hopefully he comes back healthy and yeah I agree. Probably on the outside. Where he will be less effective.

He wasn't effective inside. Kuechly wasn't on the outside. Seems best to at least have one effective player out there.

Cutting him results in 15 million or so in dead money hitting the cap. We probably keep him and use that cap space to unload a few others.

I'm guessing he's kept through 2013 and if he doesn't look like his old self then they'll cut him after that, but I've already said that I'd be happiest if the new GM scorches the earth and dumps a mountain of dead cap on 2013 just to be able to take the team in a new direction after that.

I agree here. Sometimes you gotta level the whole house to build a new one. Prob gonna stink for at least a few more years before we start to get better.
