Weve got teething problems for sure. It just bothers me what these kinda loses mean for our football team.

I mean, lets be honest, we all thought we were gonna get waxed. But we actually showed up to play. We just totally capitulated in the worst possible way.

I worry what that means about Rivera.

Ugh. Four of Stewart's ten carries came in the fourth quarter, including during the 3 & out that so enraged you.

2nd-7, CAR49 9:53 J. Stewart rushed to the right for 15 yard gain
1st-10, ATL36 9:27 J. Stewart rushed to the left for 5 yard gain
2nd-9, CAR21 4:07 J. Stewart rushed up the middle for 1 yard gain
1st-10, CAR32 2:21 J. Stewart rushed to the right for 4 yard gain

I would recommend stopping and thinking about whether your reactions are really justified.

I miss that too. We even lost a game that year and a rule changed because of us. Basically your momentum of a fumble recovery couldn't carry you into the end zone or it would be a safety. They changed that to a touchback after that season. Good ole Doug Evans with a fumble recovery and slid into the end zone. I think we lost that game by like one. We need another rule changing loss. Those are awesome.

There was at least an end in sight with Seifert (plus he drafted much better than Hurney), so there was some silver lining during those years. It doesn't feel that way now. It feels like JR is going to allow Hurney to break this thing beyond repair.

It was like every week we found a new way to lose. I am hoping for a total breakdown so JR has no choice but jettisoning Hurney out of here. Then a couple years of suckage but with hopefully a plan in place.

I just can't feel as bad about yesterday as others. We almost won against an undefeated team. Yes, we shot ourselves in the foot to lose, but there was some darn good football played through much of the game while last week we looked pretty horrible all the way around. Now if we play badly this week, I'll be very upset, but maybe we've taken a positive step toward playing good ball and then we can clean up the mistakes and be competitive week in and week out.

I don't feel like we came close. I feel like we had a game won and literally gave it away. And on the large scale, realistically, we're heading towards a fourth straight year of not only missing the playoffs, but not even being mathematically alive during the final weeks of the season. This is easily the most deflated I've felt as a Panthers fan.

Just wanted to chime in here with some upbeat commentary.

    New Panthers prediction - 2-14
    Ron Rivera sux
"SuperCam" blows the game by fumbling away the
1st down that would have given the Panthers a
sure win yesterday. Of course if the defense can't
hold an opponent from scoring when they're on
their own 1 yard line with less than a minute to
play and no timeouts, they deserve to lose anyway.
They might has well have gone for the 4th and 1
that would have given them a game winning
    1st down.
