That super steelers image is gayer than Fred's asshole.

 

At least line your feet up with the checkerboard tiles, if you want to be taken seriously.

 

Cam cheering on Clausen was one of the most heartwarming things I've seen during a football game. You could tell that he was genuinely proud of his submissive little princess.

 

Clausen had a different vibe, which might have something to do with the fact that he wasn't running for his life most of the time. He was so into it late in the 4th that he forgot to put his mouthpiece in - left it stuck in the side of his facemask for the entire final series.

Hurney had a rare moment of realism when he commented negatively on Armanti Edwards. Personally, I think Marty finally let some of the frustration out that his pet project wasn't making the hoped-for "leap forward." And I don't think Marty really meant to make that comment.

Couple of notes from the game that'll bear watching week 1:

- Special teams still a BIG question mark
- Good spacing and gap coverage by the LB corp. It will be interesting to see how well the unit works together with Beason back in charge in the middle.

 

if I were to excuse the punt team, maybe either Nortman has no idea he's not supposed to kick it as deep as he possibly can, or maybe they wanted it that way so they could see who made a play. But, if it's that way in the regular season, he's going to regularly outkick coverage and we won't have a chance with the guys we have.
