Something clicked for the running game that season. It was his only healthy season in the NFL so naturally it appears that he was a big part of it. Maybe that is not the case though. There was definitely some magic that year in the run game though.

He was definitely an asset as a run blocker, but the Panthers finished 3rd in rushing yards last season, which is the same rank they had in 2008 and 2009.

It seems like they had a lot more big plays in the running game in 2008, and a lot more touchdowns.

There was a more credible threat via the passing game in 08.

Only four more rushing touchdowns, and actually there were a lot more big running plays last season than 2008, although that has a lot to do with Cam.

I would be the rushing yards and touchdown totals for the running backs were a lot higher in 2008. Last year's numbers include a big chunk of Cam.

I am sure we will be fine without Otah though. Cam's ability opens up a lot of things.

DW & Stewart had a significantly higher combined yards per carry average last season than in 2008. You said something wrong, man. Just let it go.

Thelt you put up useless stats. You're wrong on this. The Panthers running game put up WAY more yards per carry last year. The running backs didn't get as many carries though. The team uses the pass to set up the run. In the past they used the run to set up the pass. Because of that the running backs simply got more chances to run in the past, making it look like bigger numbers.

.....and none of that means shit anymore, since, you know, he looks to be done playing...

PS: Theres a big black kid, wears #1, throws the ball some, runs some and scores alot in the red zone. He makes things happen around here.
