    It makes you wonder if steroids are playing a role in this. If nothing else bigger and faster players lead to harder hits. It seems like this has only become an issue over the past few years. It could be that it was just not reported in the past though.

    The guys who are in their 40s and 50s now are the same guys who played when steroids were the most rampant.

    Sure, but if you're in that mental state then you're hardly rational anymore.


    I think I read that it's most common among guys who played in the '70s, so it's not a recent phenomenon, it's just getting more attention now.

    It's not roids it's the buildup of hits even one that don't knock people out of games.

    wonder how long he lived after he shot himself. had a friend shoot himself in the chest and die on the phone begging for help.
