    I just think fans cheer for the uniforms and the logo, not some asshole in a suit.


    Elway probably sees himself as still being "under center", and just wants a Matt Schaub-ish QB. Somebody who's going to be productive and win games, but is not necessarily a fan favorite or headline grabber. Peyton doesn't fit that mold obviously.

    As far as I can see it's their (Fox/Elway) best chance to weather fallout for removing Tebow from their future. No doubt Bowlen may not want to take it, there's still a lot of money to be made off of Tebow.

    It almost balances out the blind hero worship and all the times I've had to be reminded how many come behind victories Elway had. Almost.
