Starting to think, based on rivera's end of year comments, that DT is not seen as a need.

Also, it seems like damn near EVERYONE is calling for Poe at #9.

they did say that, yet the first player invited for a visit was a DT. Brokers has at least shown against Alabama that he has upside. the more i think about it the more I like him as the pick ... unless Blackmon falls, which ain't gonna happen.

it would take some really hairy balls to pick Poe. i'm sure they will work him out though and try to figure out why he sucked ass in college games.

I guess a lot depends on whether Ron Edwards is going to be 100%. They seemed to think he would be huge for us before he got hurt. If he comes back and is solid then you can probably get away with one of the guys we already have starting. That being said though it would still make sense to draft a DT if a good one is available.

We haven't had a good DT since Kris Jenkins left. Edwards age is a concern. Who knows maybe we'll pick a player that performs like Cam did lat year.

I don't think we need to draft a DT first 2 rounds. What we lack in talent, we will make up in depth. Last year we couldn't stop TEs. So, S and OLB is where we need to focus IMO.

As much as I would like a big stout DT, I think its a reach at 9. Brocker's has the most upside I think but he only really showed this year.

But it was against SEC level competition which is hell of a lot more than you can say for Poe. My main question for him would be, what the hell were you doing last season?

I say the pick is Coples. We go DE and he's got the most upside at #9 I think.
