I'm seriously not picking about his arms. He has a small wingspan. It made his bench easier than Brocker (who I don't want either). Brocker has 36 inch long arms, and Poe's are only 32. That's small in comparison to most in the NFL. This guy is a bust waiting to happen, but is getting big props because he has good workout numbers. This is the equal to a guy from Elon running a 4.24. Doesn't mean he can play it only means he's fast.

What do you guys think about my suggestion of drafting Brockers to play him at DE instead of DT?

I haven't been investigating these guys to talk about them specifically but I think Rivera is gonna mix things up with the fronts. So maybe the strict "fit" thing is not as important in some cases.

its just one time, but Brockers ran a 5.36 at 6'5" 322 pounds...dont how effective he'll be on the edge at that weight. Fletcher Cox, on the other hand, ran under 4.8 at 6'4" 298. I will say I was pleasantly surprised with Brockers in his interview, he was articulate and sounded quite poised & intelligent. Guess I'm guilty of presupposing he was somewhat thuggish, or that thugs cant sound articulate, or something like that...

I don't think he's quick enough to play DE and give you much of a pass rush. his thing is going to be a run stuffer in the middle. he can also provide some pass rush up the middle but the thing i really like about him is that he keeps his hands free and gets them up in QBs face. with his height and long arms, he's tuff to throw over. unusual for a DT. would like to see him getting more pass pressure, but he seems to have lots of potential for that. I think I read that this last year was his first as a DT. you watch his progress from games early in the season to the last game and he made a lot of progress. the main worries for me about him is will he become enough of a force to collapse the pocket with training and coaching to justify a #9 pick, and also he seemed to tire pretty easily. if he's a hard worker he can be probably be a great one. based on his improvement last year i'm inclined to believe that he will put in the work. i don't think he's gonna come in and be a stud pass rusher right off the bat. but to me, he's easily the best DT in this draft.

Possibly in a 3-4 but I'd expect him to lose some serious weight and work on his speed.

Kinda in the same vain here, I was thinking about Coples today and wondering if he's worth it, we take him and may slide Greg Hardy inside?
