For all the talk about offense this year I find it interesting that 3 of the 4 teams left are playing great defense.

Funny how that always seems to be the case this time of year.

Not really true. People think the Giants are a good defense because they have been historically, but it's not at all true in 2011. They were 25th in points allowed and 27th in yards allowed during the regular season.

They got fucking man-handled. Pretty much dominated the whole game, imo, the score just didn't reflect it until late.

Not manhandled like Fox got manhandled. But still manhandled.

I saw it differently. It looked to me like the Packers just choked. They dropped a lot of passes, Rodgers missed some open receivers for potential touchdowns and third down conversions, and they kept fumbling the ball. The Giants played well, especially on both lines, but I felt like it was more a matter of Green Bay playing very poorly.

They were pretty damn good yesterday. The problem with regular season stats is that they obscure trends that occur during the season and can often be worthless in projecting playoff performance.

Green Bay just had a bad game. They weren't in sync, Rogers didn't play poorly, but didn't play great, their receivers played poor almost the entire game.

To me, it was just an awful time to have a bad game, but they had one.

GB has the best QB in football. Foxy has a fullback trying to throw passes.

I think the 49ers handle the Giants and the Patriots beat Flacco (who sucks) and the Ravens.

As they say, anything can happen in the playoffs. Indianapolis' defense played pretty well when they made their Super Bowl run after being atrocious during the regular season.
