Probably not long for the this team. Aikman made a comment Sunday how he thought it was interesting Rivera said the team was missing a 'scat back' a la Darren Sproles. Peculiar statement considering what we already have at RB and Goodson brings some extra speed.

He doesn't seem to take the game seriously. Apparently he has trouble remembering blocking assignments.
Maybe Denver will give us a 7th for his ass

    yep

granted, when healthy the other three don't require much of anyone else to get carries or receptions.

But, Rivera tells you what he wants. Davin Meggett probably drops a bit when he doesn't run the 40 well, but he'd be interesting, but for a more Sproles guy there's always Jeffrey Demps.

Yeah that's ultimately what's interesting to me. When healthy you don't need anyone else besides Williams and Stewart to tote the ball for you. If you want some insurance that's one thing but to invest in another RB fairly high wouldn't make a ton of sense. I suppose a smaller, swifter back would add something to the offense but the RB's both did a good job at pass protection and Stewart has done a great job and catching out of the backfield

And if he could ever get his fumbles in check Goodson has some talent there. Not sure he should be thrown away.

Rivera does say what he wants. A scat back and apparently LB's that can cover.

47 receptions for Jonathan Stewart is very impressive.

yeah, I mean you do need depth and if you went with a smallish guy and gave the starting level guy 20 reps a game, that's not bad, but still it seems like you wouldn't necessarily want a pass-heavy weapon.

or, fuck, that's what Pilares was for a while, yes? I'd remarked once Pilares was on roster, that he and Goodson had some interchangeability. Just that Pilares has moves and speed.

I think they had every intention to make him a 3rd down/passsing down back, but realized Stewart was just as good in that role. Goodson seems like a more dynamic route runner but it's hard to ignore the fumbling issues.

I don't see the need for this unless Stewart will be gone. Just not enough touches to matter imo.
