Right or wrong Godfrey's here. Martin is a FA in one more year but again they have Pugh. I was actually in Pugh's corner after what I felt was a good camp and a very good year. He's not been as good this year, and clearly neither he nor really anyone else has done well on ST this year. But he does still have some promise.

I mean, if they can't get anything out of them then they should move on, but for talent they're good enough.

For me, I don't see it as a Kalil or Gross thing, I assumed him to play as a rookie at a spot and they'd figure out where he goes later. But, it does make sense to suggest that high a pick does go to LT sooner rather than later. I'm not against Gross at RT, or even Wharton, but we do have Otah if that's worth anything and I feel like you could patch it fairly well just bringing Schwartz back in and drafting a midlevel guy like his brother.

Yeah, you don't spend a top five pick on a RT unless you're the Bills. It's not that they can't have Gross on the team after picking Kalil, it's that they have to envision a future where Gross either isn't on the roster or is shunted to a less important place at RT. I just doubt that they'll embrace that idea since JR thinks Gross is a team leader, etc. I have a feeling that Coples will be the pick, which isn't something I want.

And Godfrey sucks, but you're right that his contract means I shouldn't even think about them replacing him. Thanks again, Hurney.

Interesting question. I can't think of any examples. It wouldn't happen this year either, though, since OT is actually pretty deep.

Pace was a trade up, I thought. But that's a double exception.

Agreed on the Godfrey deal. His easy-lookup numbers are good but the overall metrics available aren't as hot. There haven't been a lot of blown coverages deep but there just isn't as much going on back there as you want. I would've been more than willing to see what he did for another year or let him walk, I don't think he was that big a priority.

Otah has 1 more year under contract, Wharton 2, Gross 3. A 2012 O line of Kalil, Wharton, Kalil, Otah, Gross doesn't sound half bad.

This week we're slotted in at #4. Lots of 4-9 teams so if we win another we drop pretty far.

Thanks to Cam, Chud and Mare, with honorable mention to our defense and ST, for keeping us "up there".

Yeah, at this point I want us to lose out and have a shot at Claiborne.

I can't believe it makes that big a difference, but sometimes it does. I think one of our 7-9 years, there were somewhere around 7 teams all rotating draft position.
