How can a team become so rotten without one player? Somebody educate me.

They're really shitty at QB, and totally setup to run plays for the guy who called them (who isn't out there anymore).

I've been saying for years that Polian was running that team into the ground, Peyton just kept saving his ass. Look at their drafts from the last eight seasons.

    would hope not.
Their passive defense is, ideally, setup to defeat us with its good rush ends and deep contain style. But they're awful, they're next to last in defensive yards per attempt, they're not deep and they have the ball three minutes less per game on average than the next shittiest team.

This is, or should be, one of those games where we could get both backs 20 carries.

Are/were guys like Wayne and Clark elite at their positions, or just a function of Manning? Saturday an elite talent?

Looking at their roster now. A lot of their players weren't even standout college players. What a gimmicky team.

I'm sure those guys have their place in the world they existed in, but less so now. For that team to try to play field position, run, stop the run, blitz, anything outside of what they had seemed to do well before, is out of the question now. I know other QBs have input to their offensive ideals and some input to what the play might be, but that's a few guys.

I think, in part thanks to his infamous debut, that Painter tries so hard to not screw up that he does little at all, not unlike Clausen. As a matter of fact, with some differences, this is almost the best chance of seeing the 2011 Panthers play the 2010 version.

They're not well coached, you can't believe in yourself after this many losses. Most of their coaches are either young or have failed at higher levels.

I thought about trolling their board as "John Elway", but then I realized Indy fans probably don't give a crap about Baltimore Colts history. How do you talk shit to a Colts fan?

Painter hasn't thrown a TD pass since October. I'm morbidly fascinated by this match-up.
