Everyone has said you can trade the first pick for just about anything, due to Luck. Not much has been said about Barkley, who at times has looked like a potential franchise QB. Could he be just as valuable to a team like the Redskins? If so, we may be able to get some nice pieces to fix this team sooner than later.

Redskins will be looking long and hard at a QB and Barkleys name has been mentioned. With them struggling maybe they will flip flop with us for a 2 so the Panthers drop from 2 to 4 and still get a player that will help

You could get something for trading down, yeah. It will also depend on how people value Landry Jones (they shouldn't) and RG3 (not sure but he looks pretty good) as alternatives to Barkley. If the Panthers like Kalil then I imagine they'll just take him. If they don't, then you should probably trade down and take either Claiborne or Coples.

Kalil is the only "need" worthy of the pick we'll have.

I'm warming to the idea of taking Claiborne since the defense really does need a second corner.

Although it shouldn't, Barkley's value will hinge on how he does at the combine. Hopefully he lights it up and a debate starts over who should be taken #1. Very unlikely, but it could happen.

I wouldn't be upset with either. I'm just not sure about taking a CB in the top 10.

QBs aren't really affected by the combine or private workouts.

I have to believe Ponder jumped up to where he was taken based on combine+private work outs+desperation for a QB. Typically this formula would =bust, but so far it doesn't seem like a bad move for the Vikes. With all the success of rookie QBs I wouldn't be surprised to see 4 or 5 taken in the first round.
