I don't think any coach is going to play exactly who fans want.

You could argue for Naanee, for instance.

Positionally, outside an OT prospect, you could secure for or against any D position.
Enough youth, talent, need that you want impact over need.

Do you think when newtons rookie contract is up he\'ll stay in Charlotte or bolt for a bigger market team (Dallas?) kinda like a Lebron james/cavs scenario? (Assuming he becomes elite)

What are you looking at? Dareus himself has four sacks already, and the Bills have 13 overall.

The team isn't close. It has the least cap space of any franchise over the next few seasons, and aside from Cam, doesn't have a lot of young talent. The Panthers are going to be a losing team for years to come, not because of Newton but rather the accumulation of damage that Hurney has done to the roster.

Actually they didn't lose by two touchdowns last season until Week 9. It's then that the wheels came off and things got really bad. I don't expect the same thing to happen this season, but we still don't know yet. It is worth noting that the schedule gets a lot harder from this point, as Indy is the only remaining team without a winning record.

we lost 23-6 to Chicago in week 5. Also, the first three games of the year were decided by 13. In fact, 12 of 14 games last year were lost by 10 or more. I am not sure what you define as close, but IMO, our game last year were rarely close.

My mistake. Meanwhile you should keep in mind that the Chicago & Green Bay games this season look closer than they actually were because of garbage touchdowns in the final minute.

We were down 4 at the 2:00 warning with the ball against Chicago. We also have the ball on GB's 6 yard line with just about 3:00 to play down only 7. Sorry, but that's close.

6 of their first 8 games last year were decided by 10 points or more, which doesn't quite tell how bad it was. They weren't close. This year they've had a legitimate chance to tie or go ahead late in every ball game.

The only positive stats our O had last year (as little as there were) were obtained during 'garbage time'.

Nfl.com, but either it was wrong or I am, likely me. I was sorting team D by sacks.
