Best John Fox characterization EVER. Man that is some Haterade there.

    An excerpt:

"I get run out of Carolina after years of trying to get by with hapless losers like Jake Delhomme, Chris Weinke, Clausen and Matt Moore and what happens? They get Cam f*cking Newton. The top-flight QB I’d been waiting for just falls into their lap. Yeah, real f*cking fair. The wife was right. “Just sit out this season. It won’t kill you. And then a good job will open up somewhere else.” I couldn’t listen. I just HAD to be coaching. I could have had the Miami job. They suck, too, but I least I wouldn’t have been sabotaged from the outset by this fundamentalist Christ groupie jorttard."

Whoever wrote that has some serious issues. I thought one of our local guys used to have it in for Moose but this takes it to a new level. Teebow has not been that bad so far when he has gotten a chance to play.

The problem is, even if Fox had Newton, he'd have started Derek Anderson for at least a year.

I'm not sold on Rivera. Our defense is playing like shit. But the team Fox left had a more solid core then the one he went to.

Not with a 1-5 start he wouldn't. Newton is too good not to show enough promise to break into the starting line up. Fox really never had much QB talent on the bench in Carolina.

The secondary looks much better this year. Also, Johnson and Hardy are playing well. I think our 2 best LB's and a starting DT all on IR probably has something to do with it. I refuse to believe that Rivera can take two defenses to number one and can't do it with this team. No OTA's, minicamps, etc.. with implementing a new defensive scheme. Give Rivera a break.

    Sometimes here, sometimes there
Whether not Rivera is gonna be a great HC remains to be seen. He's make some questionable calls, but he's also a rook HC. The D has significant injuries to playmakers. He's playing youth in a new scheme with little prep before the season. The D, while having problems sometimes with the run and 3rd downs, is not terrible. Hell, we've been close (save for Atl) in all the games this season and didn't do too awful against some good offenses, defensively. We played the Saints and GB purty doggon well.

Rivera has surrounded himself with a gret staff and his philosophy isn't boring foxball.

The only really good AC fox hired was JDR. Most of the rest have been shit.
