which is AMAZING for a rookie quarterback. especially considering he didn't have a full training camp and wasn't named the starter until Week 1.

he's on pace to blow past all rookie passing records. in his rookie year, peyton manning threw a league high 28 interceptions and only won 3 games.

    cam is on pace for:

    passing yards: 5,544
    completions: 388
    attempts: 652
    completion %: 59.5
    yards per attempt: 8.5
    passing TDs: 20
    interceptions: 20
    rushing attempts: 132
    rushing yards: 532
    rushing TDs: 16
    fumbles: 4
    total yards: 6,076
    total TDS: 36

I could care less about Cam's % QBR , MRE, SAT, whatever bullshit rating you want pull out of ESPN's ass...
He is an immediate threat to score from anywhere on the field at any time. He makes our team far more of a threat offensively than we've been in recent memory.

And all this with about 3 weeks prep time with the new coaching staff.
Give him a year or so, maybe a stud WR ( Blackmon ? Jeffries ?), and it's showtime.

Thank god we didn't draft gimpy Fairley.

You can't argue with what he has done so far. I can't believe that he will keep this up all year but who knows. He certainly has room to improve but to be this far along this quickly is amazing really. I would bet that free agent WRs will want to come here next year to play with him. Steve Smith will probably want to stay here until he retires now.

If they can just figure out how to play defense and special teams we might be a contender again.

It completely wouldn't suck at all to have that play out into a 16 game season. I mean, ideally you'd like to see fewer picks, but did anyone really anticipate 5000 yards as "realistic" either?

Perhaps he will keep getting better and not throw those picks, and still amass that yardage! The sky is the limit for this kid!

If the running game can ever get going he can throw a little less but maybe have fewer picks and the offense will be more efficient in the red zone. Part of me kinda wants to see them keep doing what they are doing. We can finish 4-12 but if he throws for over 5,000 yards as a rookie it will still be a good season.

Not bad at all for a future tight end.
