LA & LaFell are the 6th & 7th options on the team... we've had that much talent as the 1st & 2nd so he's good depth

why is he being targetted so much, sucking like he does and all....I'd like to see the % of completions vs targets, they gotta be very low...

and if Cam is gonna throw to double coverages on must-have downs, why the fuck is he throwing to him?

I don't understand. Certainly the staff and Cam must see what we see.

Who else do they have? Steve is often doubled, while Olsen is only useful on vertical routes and Shockey and the backs are only useful on dumpoffs. Despite what Gantt claimed about the SD-inspired Chud offense not needing a #2 receiver, it clearly does. I was hoping that LaFell would step up, but he's still young.

    From the football outsiders:

    3. Legedu Naanee, CAR
Technically, the worst wide receiver of the week was Santonio Holmes of the New York Jets. While Holmes' fumble didn't help matters, his poor score is largely a reflection of the rotten day Sanchez was having. Naanee, though, was a horrible receiver even though Newton had a pretty decent day. Naanee was targeted 11 times and caught just four passes for a meager 27 yards. He had a first-down on second-and-6 in the third quarter, but also caught a three-yard gain on third-and-8 and a nine-yard gain on third-and-10. Naanee was also the target on D.J. Moore's 20-yard pick-six in the first quarter, but in our system the blame for interceptions goes to quarterbacks, not the receiver.

The pick six wasn't Nanee's fault but he was targeted 11 times that game, more than Smith, and came away with 27 yards. That's pretty brutal. Lafell is still wildly inconsistent but I'm guessing the coaches are gonna start him pretty soon. It just seemed like something bad was gonna happen every time Cam threw it to him.

    Put in Armanti!

FACT: Panthers lead the league in dropped passes.
NOT SURE IF ITS A FACT: Betting Nanoo-Nanoo leads the team

I bet we're up there in attempts too. We have had some drops, some were tough catches.

They would be better off letting Lafell play. His upside is much better than Legolas's.
