This is a league where Marshall Faulk got traded for a 2nd round pick (funny how Polian never gets killed for that), and Randy Moss got traded for a 4th (from Oakland). It's really only quarterbacks that teams get stupid for and give up first round picks, unless of course you're Marty Hurney. A 3rd for Olsen is reasonable, but I wouldn't call it a steal.

Olsen being more potential than production and Shockey being an oft injured shell of himself makes that statement a real stretch.

I hate to see us give up a 3rd round pick but he should be a solid addition to our team. Collin tells me that Cam is better at the deep ball than the short stuff but I can't help but think a solid receiving tight end or two will help his development a lot. Mobile QBs tend to make good use of tight ends. I guess the defender will come up to defend the run from the QB which causes the TE to be open.

You have to give them credit, they are going balls out on this. If they had a solid veteran QB on board I would be excited about all this. As it is everything still hinges on Cam being good right off the bat.

and the pats got a productive year or so and then dumped him for a third. If I was a GM and the patriots called I would hang up the phone.

Shockey and Olsen are alot better than King, Rosario or whatever generic 4th round TE weve had since Walls left. Thats all that matters right now.

Both these guys played under Chud already at Miami right?

    Should be pretty familiar already.

    Im fuggin geeked.
