From what I read, it is defined by the next draft happening. Nowhere does it mention that there has to be a football season inbetween the 2 drafts.

Do you have links for your thoughts?

This is just a guess, but I'd think that the teams would act like the season took place and keep the rights to their draft picks made this year. I'd think a player would have to take it to court for this to come up, and I don't see anybody doing that.

Unless you can show me another cancelled season, I'll take that as a no on you having links.

You arguing against your own post isn't quite as retarded as you insisting that the FIFA president doesn't know what's supposed to be a red card, but keep working and you'll get back there. In the meantime we both missed the obvious, which is that there will not be another draft until a new CBA is reached, and draftees from this class will be bound by whatever the new CBA says. If the lockout lasts more than a year, then there will be no draft in April anyway.

You mean no proof like actually posting the comments from the refs in the world cup that they did not have any idea what was the criteria for a red card and having you argue against it? Or was it the part from the book where the other fifa folks said specifically that what Sepp Blatter was spouting off was crap was actually crap, then sure I am obviously guilty of proving you were a lying shit bag who has no integrity, but let's not pretend that is some kind of breaking news.

As for the last comment, when did the lockout start this year? When was the draft?

As I have said all along, I am sure that this will be dealt with in some way, shape, or form in the new cba, but as it stands now, the fact is that if a player is drafted and does not sign with that team prior to the next draft, the original team loses his draft rights and any other team is free to draft him. So, unless you have specific proof to counter that, please quit injecting your opinion as though you are some sort of expert.

Oh, and before you start complaining that I follow you around picking fights, please remember who took it here and shut the fuck up on that point as well.

I think I heard that the 2011 draft was the last "event" covered by the previous CBA. Without a new CBA, there won't be a 2012 draft.

And without a new CBA, there won't be football. Period.

Unless you want to go Arena, the Great White North or the new minor league of professional college football.

There will be a new CBA in September, or October at the latest. The new CBA will impose the new rules on the old 2011 draft. There will be a draft in 2012.

And the world will not come to an end this Saturday. Probably.

Good lord, you are so delusional it's sad. Not only did Blatter's comments prove you wrong, but I also linked the FIFA rule book proving you wrong, and someone else Emailed a Fox Sports soccer analyst who agreed that you were wrong. Meanwhile you had absolutely nothing to back up your assertions, but none of that ever stopped you. You know more about soccer than the FIFA president & national soccer analysts, just as you know more about the CBA than I do. You know all things about every subject, nevermind the fact that no one ever asks your opinion about anything because no one else besides you thinks you know anything. Clearly we're all too stupid to comprehend how all-knowing you truly are.

The NFL Draft is the last event of the league calendar, and the last CBA spelled out that if the owners chose to opt-out then the draft would still take place. Seeing as how you know everything, I'm surprised you weren't aware of that.

Uh ... no, that's not a "fact" at all. You have nothing to support your assertion, and you're contradicted by your own post earlier in the thread. Not only that, but we've established that you know absolutely nothing about football. Continue pretending that you know everything, however, because you really bring a lot to the discussion when you run your mouth in belligerent ignorance.
