    When Hurney was talking about veteran qb's only one guy came to mind... Hints: good leadership, passionate, at the end of his career, familiar with the NFC south, wouldn't mind ending his career in Carolina, and could probably win 50% if called into action. Any guesses?

    Hint #2: he can throw the ball a mile, usually when only a half a mile is needed, and he may get cut from where he is.

    Yep! As a 3rd option it wouldn't be a bad idea. He's familiar with atl, no, and tb, as well as our own personnel. He shouldn't cost much and chances are, he wouldn't see any snaps, but he would serve more as a sideline coach than a qb. He could mentor Clausen and Newton for 3 or 4yrs and then retire as a Panther.

    we already paid him enough, he should do it for free.

    Jake would be the perfect clipboard holder/hat model/sideline qb though.
