    2007: (10/1) Started career at WR; 12 catches, 67 yards (5.5). 2008: (12/9) Moved to DC; 60 tackles, 3 INT, 7 PBU, 2 FR. 2009: (13/13) 74 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 INT, 11 PBU, 1 FR. 2010: (11/11) 37 tackles, 3 INT, 6 PBU, 1 FF, 1 FR.
Height-Weight-Speed 3 Possesses prototypical size and good top-end speed for the position.
Durability 1 Slowed by a biceps injury early in 2010, then tore his ACL in the last regular-season game and missed the Champs Bowl.
Intangibles 5 Arrested and charged with DUI in early September 2010. Cited for disorderly conduct and public urination in April 2010. Also missed most of 2010 spring ball due to falling behind in classwork and being out of shape. Arrested in April 2011 for driving with a suspended license. Awarded the 2009 Gridiron Gladiator Award by the WVU coaches.

    Cornerback Specific Traits
Instincts/Recognition 3 Intense competitor and not afraid to mix it up. At his best in zone coverage where he can use his above-average read and react skills. Does a nice job of maintaining strong position and marking targets coming into his area. Reads QBs drops well which allows him to get a quicker break on the ball. Route recognition and anticipation skills are still developing when locked up in man coverage. Very quick diagnosis with run game but can get caught peeking in the backfield and out of position as a result.

Cover Skills 3 Man coverage skills are just adequate. Feet appear quicker than hips at this point. Can allow separation when having to make any sudden lateral movements. However, displays quick-twitch ability to plant and drive when breaking forward. Possesses a quick-short area burst to cut down separation when ball is in the air. That said, questions about his overall long speed and does not have elite capability to recover once caught in trail position.

Ball Skills 3 Displays natural hands and can consistently come down with routine interception. Also does a nice job using hands to separate receiver from ball when able to locate it. However, can be a second late getting head around and finding the ball when in trail technique. Lacks elite size and aggressiveness in jump-ball situations and is easily shielded by bigger and more physical WRs.

Run Support 2 Quick diagnosis and fills downhill with conviction. Not afraid to lower head and deliver violent strike. Strong wrap-up tackler and is assignment sound in the open field. Works to disengage from blocks but can be controlled by more physical WRs on occasion.

What's the deal here? Injuries, off-field issues, adequate skills. Lots of other
CBs higher rated. Am I missing something?

not sure, what to think, will depend on how he can bounce back from injury.

Don't hate it, but it's weird. Also, bunch of guys I thought were better on the board went soon after - Acho, Cameron, Boling.

McShay had him rated at 98 which is interestingly exactly where he was picked.

Also said he would have gone a round or round and a half higher if not for the injury and character issues. Like it as a good value here.

And he ran a 4.43 at the combine despite being 4 months into rehab for a torn ACL suffered in last game of year.

This guy is an excellent talent, started quality. Character is a big question but at a 4th round selection he's worth the gamble.
