IIRC one of Tillman's former roommates (at ASU) a fringe NFL player joined the Marines, why do we never hear about him? and will he get a bronze bust too?

Tillman is the only guy I can think of who was a starter in the NFL and would definitely have made millions per year only to turn it down and join the military. I think that is great and worthy of honor and respect.

I do not think he should be in the HOF though. I would rather see that be about on the field accomplishments. Once you open the door to getting in the HOF based on character stuff then you start to dilute the HOF. I would have not problem with a display about him in the HOF but to actually induct him would not be right.

Having him be a hall of fame inductee - No.

Having his jersey or some mention in the hall of fame-Yes.

    this isn't actually true.

ironically tillman was not a proponent of the war on terror.

Good idea. I beleive he does deserve some recognition in the HOF, and maybe a busts should be reserved for career accomplishments. I was just floating the idea, and it's good to see that people still remember the guy after 7yrs.
