I don't know about the 10th most talented, but certainly far, far from the worst, regardless of the 2-14 record.

10th best make you a wild card or maybe the lowest rank division winner. If we had a solid QB I think that would be a pretty fair ranking. Without one we are door mats.

That was the story in 2009, 2010, and until we get one.

Good lord, it's like you either didn't watch any games or else there is just no connection between your eyes and that inert lump you call a brain. Carolina couldn't run the ball, Moore and Clausen were under immediate pressure on most drop-backs, and the WRs weren't helping matters either. Clausen and Moore were both shit, no question about it, but acting like they were the only problem with the offense is mind-boggling. Regardless of what some random person says, the Panthers were absolutely not the 10th most talented roster last season. In fact, any conscious Panthers fan should just laugh at that statement.

I will never shit on anyone's effort to break down talent.

That said, this is irrelevant. As the great Warner Wolf would say: "Nobody knows nothin"

This is the type of area where it's best to generalize. Generally speaking, the 2010 Carolina Panthers were a very bad team. Statistically, they had the worst record in the NFL. Run all the numbers you want: it all comes back to one: wins.

Panthers may be the 10th most talented team in the Carolinas.

If the defense knows your QB is crap then they can play the run and blitz the hell out of you. Smitty was pissed and shut it down early last year. The same basic team on offense was able to run the ball great in 2008 and part of 2009 when they had semi decent QB play.

Granted losing Otah did not help anything but far and away QB was the biggest problem.

When you're coming off a 2-14 season, you'll take any compliment you can get.

The point is; the organization is correct when they keep saying we can turn it around much faster that people think. With this talented core of players we can, at the very least compete next year. Now if we can just get good, consistant QB play......
