agree on LB. If Anderson's UFA, we draft a guy later that can play behind Davis if something bad happens, and Connor and Norwood do the odd-couple thing at SLB. I wouldn't be totally against a cheap LB late anyway - not that the Tampa 2 didn't create some one-week heros at WLB, just because I fully anticipate that Rivera will have a want to pick a LB of his own. Given that Connor will be FA in a year as well, it's not out of bounds to have a draft pick as the 6th LB. But the top 5 are covered.

If he's not, he's our SLB and his odd blitzing proficiency comes in handy. A lot of people did rate Anderson exceptionally high, and he had a great year. But even then, he was inconsistent.

I think LB is slotted right where it should be... in front of WR & TE and behind DT, QB, & CB... of course it could also go QB, DT

I would even put back-up QB in front of WR & TE

    Chicken or the egg.

Smitty had a down year, alot of mental errors. For rookie WR's LaFell and Gettis showed alot of promise, the Gettis pick looks very wise.

Id like to just say a rookie QB as well, which is not a good combination but lets be honest, Matt Moore stunk it up all preseason too. The Oline was not absolved for their share in those issues either, injuries aside.

our wideouts won't get less bad throwing yet more youth on it. Green or Jones could fix some things, possibly, but you only have more of the same of what we already have - a ton of youth at WR that can't all be on the field.

89 is a 3rd down guy now. We need some guys to compete for the X and Z. Then have 11 and 12 fight it out for a uniform.

This might be the alltime best comment ever, while discussing the Panthers' woes.

I think I'm down for bpa more than need, since this isn't gonna be a one year fix. Do I know who that is? No not really.

As to WR, I don't see Smitty here for '11 without a quality QB throwing to him and that is very unlikely to happen if we draft one. And if we don't draft one, it's still unlikely.

Even with TE somewhat covered and re-emphasized as a weapon, what we have now without Smitty isn't enough.

Add that I'm getting we're gonna eventually end up with a more WR friendly offense than in the past, we're gonna need to invest more.

Initially my preference was a trade down and if not, go DL but above all is get the best player we can and not miss. I guess if they figure a WR is that player I can see it.
