since there's no free agency, and there won't be rules for whether we'll have 2 free agents or 28, there really aren't many scenarios for this draft this year. Plus, taking Cam Newton in a scenario means having to figure out how to make this team be decent until his dumb ass is serviceable.

    1. Random Quarterback, WTF, shitty draft pick - whatever. And I'm only being half serious dogging this pick. I don't care, another draft pick is a huge pain in the ass. I'm half ready to be lectured by Collin on his suggestion of continued success out of various cheap, and continually refreshed and varied, free agent quarterbacks. I don't want to have to deal with yet another shit that this fanbase and retarded media will fawn over, demand to see, and then give up on.

    65. Ras-I Dowling, CB, UVA - I know this is a DT pick, logically, and Jenkins is a good pick here. Dowling is a fantastic prospect, though. He's been hurt, and that isn't encouraging, but he's athletically gifted and smart, and not 5'4.

    97. Jerrell Powe, Miss - huge DT, but athletic. He's no Kris Jenkins circa 2003, but he's kinda like the fatter version from the Jets without the injury concerns. So, a guy who can play the run within the box, can run a little, and can take on double teams. It's not the most ideal thing, but it's not like having a solid nose tackle is something to bitch about. You could take Nevis, who makes sense to slide around in our Pro Multiple one-gap, and he's a decent run stopper for 285. But I still dunno about drafting a starter that small.

    98. Drake Nevis, LSU - ahh, hell, why not. I think he fits better and I can't find anyone else I want here.

    132. Jordan Cameron, TE, USC - a very raw TE with solid measurables. We'll have at least one of our vets with Shockey, so it's up to this guy to beat out that slug Barnidge everyone thinks is so great. And no, I don't know what youtube video you're talking about, sorry.

    166. Cory Brandon, OT, Oklahoma - not listed, he's an uneven guy on the field who was an Outland type. Since we tend to pick guys from Oklahoma with tons of talent, I figure we can just pair this one with the other guy and coach them the same things.

    203. Schuyler Oordt, NI - not listed, he's a pet project, great kid. All meaurables so far, 6'7, 245, 4.55. came from an offense where they threw the ball like 200 times all year. Lots of potential. Plenty of places dont' even list him.
    243.

fuck it, I'm on the move so I'll do one like I would really want.

    1. Marcel Dareus, DT - we decided to build a team now, not build a team for when Steve Smith is 33, Deangelo Williams is spent, and Jon Stewart leaves the team in free agency. Building with strength means Dareus is a part of what could've been a dominant defense last year, with a DT and some stability.

    65. Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada - it's weird, being as how I've slowly learned my lesson on huge arm QBs (technically, what I was falling in love with was velocity, most QBs can make all the throws). Enter this year, when we moved to this Coryell thing, and suddenly the 'best' draftees are also the hugest armed, it looked like I learned my lesson just soon enough for everyone else to miss it.
But, at 65, Kaepernick is enough arm. Thing people miss about Coryell and its best QBs isn't the long ball. It's accuracy. The Bang 8, the 5 routes, the F post, they're reliant on you getting the ball to the spot, so the receive can retrieve it. If you're all over the place, you're screwed. He has that accuracy - now. Not if he's properly coached and scripted like the spread guys. He comes from a terrible offense, and has a little windup in his delivery, but he's fluid in his throws and has a quick release.

    97. Drake Nevis - still makes sense. DO we need 2 DTs if one is Dareus? Don't know.

    98. Marcus Gilchrist, CB/S, Clemson - just shy of 5'10, but plays physically, plays the run, and plays special teams - gunner and returner. Might fit Fox's MO a little more, but this would give us two Munnerlyns, if nothing else.

    132. Jason Pinkston, OT, Pittsburgh - athletic enough, good lineman. Problems? He's not built long (arms, height - he overextends somewhat) and he's not the best zone fit because he doesn't excel outside the LOS. But he's just depth, and this is a 5th rounder on a guy who could play OT or G.

    166. Rob Housler, TE, Fla Atlantic - terrible blocker, slight frame. But he's 6'5, 235, and runs 4.5. Can we use a backup TE that can be what Rosario or Barnidge probably should be? Yeah. He's a deep threat with natural hands. Sign me up. This guy shouldn't be this low.

    203. Julian Vandevelde, C, Iowa - 6'2 guy with experience at G and T but has to play C because of his need for physical development. Good zone backup.

yeah it's a little weird. apparently ran a 4.67 at combine.

since I had to look it up, there were 3 TE slower than the top 4 DTs. Ain't that a bitch.

he's not bad, but he's slow. 4.79. Upside is he's smart and can adjust to a defense, which is big.
