Have to agree y2, but I'm one of the ones who's glad a change was made. If not it's like sticking with a QB year after year who has lost his confidence and just can't get back on track. Fox was obviously done here

The 3 of 9 stat is misleading. The first year he took us to 7-9 after going 1-15. That year was a success. Stop using it to down Fox. The final year he had no chance. There were a couple of other years when injuries crippled the team.

Where do you think we would be right now if we had traded for Matt Cassel after the 2008 season instead of KC. They got him for a second round pick, the same price we paid for Armanti Edwards? That is on Hurney and JR.

Even if you take out years 1 and 9, he then ends up with 3 out of 7 years, which is still below average. Fox was an average coach AT BEST. You guys keep trying to portray him as a martyr who would have 6 rings if not for the evil front office.

Probably in the same mess, just a more expensive one.

In hindsight, I think he did a pretty damn good job. He got the Carolina Panthers to a Super Bowl and 2 title games, with a terrible owner and a sloppy GM.

How are you defining average? Certainly the average NFL head coach does not last 9 years or go to a sueprbowl. Is average defined as having playoff seasons at least half the time? Where did that bench mark come from?
