    I was going to say that Leinart's lifestyle might be holding him back, but I forgot about Roethlisberger's impressive rape-to-ring ratio. I think the guy is just not that good.

    Nah, Whisenhunt was a total dick to Leinart and hurt his team by the decision to go with Anderson. People forget (or never knew) that Leinart actually had a pretty good preseason for Arizona before he got canned. It was strictly a case of Whisenhunt not liking Leinart.

    He was also checking down a lot. I think the knock on him being useless past 10 yards is pretty fair. FWIW, I do think he was better overall QB than the other crap they had, but I can understand why Wiz rolled the dice with Anderson. I don't know if it would have mattered much either way.

    He was checking down a lot, but at least he could complete a pass. Derek Anderson is just garbage, and Whisenhunt had to know that.

    I think Ken was also hedging on having a running game, which turned out to be as bad as it's ever been.

    To the original question, in a vacuum, Kolb, but not and give a #1 or #1+ whatever. I do like Kolb's potential though, but not having a 2nd really kills that buzz altogether.
