    there are plenty of very successful QBs out there that have a bigtime team around them. That's the difference between being a Roethlisberger and a Stafford, IMO. Otherwise, is there much separating them? Not to mention the fallacy that suddenly guys like Ryan or Freeman are elite because they're not fighting for a job. Not a feel I get from this thread, but there's a "OMG the nfcs has three elite QBs" thing out there.

    It is hard to win a championship without an elite QB. It is not hard to win games and make the playoffs with a solid game manager if the rest of your team is solid.

    Our best bet is to find a game manager and groom a guy who might be elite. Not all elite QBs are drafted at the top of the first round.
