    aside from the idea that we look at everyone, and that #1 overall for a punt returner is insanity, it gets me that people think an elite, shut down corner takes away "half the field".

    At best, you move a safety away but it doesn't uncomplicate the delicate nature of pass defense, and it doesn't help anything anywhere else. Besides, even with only one receiver outside the tackles, that's a third of the field.

    Peterson just gives me the Ted Ginn willies. If we traded down i could live with it but its all too much like Gamble also. He's an amazing athlete, but at corner i want a guy that can cover and do it well, not a guy who'll get exposed when he finds out he's not the best athlete on the field anymore.

    I get your point, but it should be stated that Gamble is nowhere near the type of athlete that Peterson is. Peterson is legitimately world-class in that respect.

    Corner is a legit need. And if Gamble comes back, I think they should move him to safety.

    I don't see Gamble as having that skillset. I did make that observation when he was still on school though.

    They do have a very similar playing style, though Gamble got more conservative in the tampa 2.
