I watched D. Smith's comments last night and the 2 things that stood out to me were his statements that the players were "partners" with the owners - as a business owner, I'd resent the hell out of anyone coming in to tell me how I have to operate my business.

The second thing was his point that it was just crazy to think that the players should make less than they did in 2009. I think that most everyone, including the owners, are making less than they did in 2009 - I know I am - so why are the players above it?

In the P.R. side, the players have been pretty dumb. The public is generally on their side, but the owners made a show about how much they compromised on, regardless of the sincerity or lack thereof. The players should have moved somewhat on their own demands, if for no other reason than to make it look like they were also willing to compromise. Instead the NFL can pretty rightly paint this picture that the union wanted it in court all along. Moreover, this is just not a great time for unions in general.

I thought they lost Doty after this step. That's the reason the players continued to extend the deadline.

well, after the Doty ruling they felt like they didn't have to budge. I don't know if the PA's numbers look even remotely correct, given that the owners said they weren't that far.

If I'm not mistakened we (PSL holders) are still on the hook for paying tickets or risk losing the "right" to buy the ticket and the PSL. Don't think I have heard we don't have to until an agreement is in hand

I think this is pure BS! Why do we have to pay for a season that they won't play?
