    If Richardson said this, this morning, it is earth shattering!

    Richardson told Daniel Kaplan of Sports Business Journal he’s optimistic a deal can get done.

    The media, particularly the national contingent, lack a fundamental understanding of the granular, market-to-market landscape. I stand by my initial take on Demon Heart from last fall: lame duck staff + unsure CBA = less spending on payroll. And I still hold firm that due to the experience gained by most rookies and reserves in 2010, depth has been automatically heightened. That, and the team has a shitload of money to play with in FA, if there is FA. Not as if JR went cheap or lazy on the collective new regime. Just didn't want to pay a .500 coach Andy Reid cash.
