    They wouldn't actually say the bid. Each team would run 3 players out onto the field with the jersey numbers for possible bids. They would jostle about trying to psych the opposing teams "Bidbackers" and then at the whistle the 2real "BBs" would step forward, give the secret handshake, kiss each other on the cheek, exchange small gifts not to exceed 20 dollars, curtsey and then rumble. I can't wait.

    I can see where that is easier than saying each team gets at least one possession.

    That was sarcasm, BTW. I think each team should get one possession. No punt. Instead of punting on 4th down, you can go for it, or kick off to the other team with a standard kickoff. Both teams have to have at least one offensive snap. Highest score after both have had a snap wins.
