    We can find a decent vet and be a lot better right away. We are not going to find a guy who can lead us to championship that way though. Luck staying in school really screwed us.

    What a dream come true for Mike Singletary if he takes the Linebackers coaching job. Poor guy would have come all the way across the country to take a job with a new team only to find the same qb that got him fired from his last job.

    If the Panthers were gonna do anything remotely like that, they would have simply promoted an assistant to Head Coach for a sacrificial year and brought in a replacement next year.

    I'd take Hasslebeck or Volek in a heart beat. Anyone else, not so much.

    Things are looking bleak with Clausen...Hasselbeck would be a good stop gap and this offense might be good for a guy like Alex Smith.
